Reportage & documentation — a photographic selection
This section gathers work made at classes, workshops and guided visits: moments where someone teaches, shows, hands down a gesture — and I try to stay there as a witness.
Three stories,
one gesture: making with your hands.
A carver bending wood into a barrel, a saxophone master bending breath into a phrase, a tangle of branches becoming a wolf. Three different days, the same idea underneath: matter taking shape under the hands that work it.
01 — Guided visit · Casentino
Moggiona, with the barrel makers
In the village of Moggiona, in the heart of the Foreste Casentinesi, the bigonai workshop keeps alive a trade handed down by hand: wooden staves bent and hooped into the barrels once used for the grape harvest and the washing. The reportage follows the guided visit, among families and children, and the live demonstration by the last master craftsman in the village.

02 — Music workshop
Workshop with George Garzone
A few days of intensive study around the saxophone, led by the master George Garzone. The picture story moves between the work in class — breath, scores, listening — and the shared life around the workshop: the long tables, the breaks, the time together that holds a group of musicians for a few days.

03 — Land art workshop
The Wolf of Strabatenza
A workshop of shared art in the woods, led by the land artist Matteo Lucca: branches, bark and wood gathered on the spot, woven by hand until they become — life size — a wolf. The picture story follows the stages of the collective work, from the first weaving to the finished sculpture, left standing among the trees.
